A Message from Our Co-Directors

Hello and welcome to the CHIT 2008 Web site! The Capital Halloween Invitational Tournament is now in its 27th year. Established in 1981, CHIT has grown into one of the largest IGBO regional tournaments in the United States. This year's theme, Oktoberfest, promises another fun-filled tournament in the national capital area.

Our host hotel is back in the District of Columbia. The Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel is in the heart of downtown DC and very close to the city's most popular "gayborhoods."

CHIT's host bowling center this year is BowlAmerica Shirley. This 40-lane center is a direct shot down I-395 from the host hotel and offers outstanding service & well-maintained lanes.

We expect this year's tournament to sell out quickly, so please make plans early to attend. We hope to see you in October and look forward to a magnificent fest together.
